Stirling secure first win after beating Montrose
Stirling earned their first win of the season with a 2-0 success at home to Montrose.
Clear-cut chances were at a premium in a poor first half, with midfielder Graham Webster spurning Montrose's best opening when he sent a free header over the crossbar from Ross Campbell's cross.
Blair Henderson should have opened the scoring for Stirling but he fired straight at goalkeeper Jordan Millar.
Ross Forsyth was not too far away with a dipping 20-yard volley early in the second half but it was not long until Stirling did break the deadlock.
An attempted shot deflected kindly to the feet of Darren Smith and he lashed home.
Moses Olanrewaju was denied by Millar but the home side made the points safe in time added on when Marc McKenzie finished a strong run with a stunning 25-yard strike into the top corner.
