Ross McMillan effort enough for 10-man Stirling

Stirling survived a long battle with 10 men to beat Montrose 1-0 at the Forthbank Stadium.

If that achievement was not enough, it finally ended their astonishing run of 42 matches without a clean sheet, stretching back just over a year.

Defender Ross McGeachie received his marching orders for the Binos after just 48 minutes, for denying Gary Fraser what was considered a goalscoring opportunity. But Chris Smith dived low to his left to save Ross McCord's penalty, giving Stirling the platform for an heroic win.

Ross McMillan was the pride of the town for Stuart McLaren's men when he headed Ross Forsyth's cross powerfully past the goalkeeper with 20 minutes left.
