Nathan Austin shines as East Fife hit Stirling for six

East Fife stayed top of Ladbrokes League Two thanks to a 6-0 demolition of hosts Stirling.

Substitute Nathan Austin, a doubt before the game, grabbed two goals after the break to go clear as the league's leading scorer with 21.

Ross Brown gave the Fifers an early lead, following up after Chris Smith brilliantly saved his initial shot.

Kevin Smith doubled the advantage in the 16th minute, although his volley took a big deflection before looping in.

The league leaders were looking comfortable and the third goal arrived when Kyle Wilkie played Austin through to slot past the keeper.

Five minutes later Austin was at it again with a back-post header after great work from Kevin Smith.

It was 5-0 when Stevie Campbell waltzed through the home defence to score late on.

Ali Coote soon made it six from close range, finishing off from Kevin Smith's cross.
