22 March 2011 22:54
Doolan brace sinks Stirling Kris Doolan scored twice as Partick recorded a comfortable 3-0 win at rock-bottom Stirling. Doolan claimed his first after 27 minutes, getting on the end of David Rowson's cross to slot home from 12 yards. Conrad Balatoni doubled the advantage nine minutes later as he powered in a close-range header from Patrick Boyle's corner. Albion threatened to pull one back at the start of the second half with Scott Robertson missing on two occasions with efforts from inside the box while Tom Brighton tested Thistle goalkeeper Scott Fox. But Partick survived that spell of pressure and Doolan made the scoreline comfortable 18 minutes from time, netting his 12th goal of the season from the penalty spot following Ross Forsyth's foul on John Robertson.
