Ross County 0-0 Stirling: Report

12 February 2011 18:39
Woodwork frustrates Stirling Gordon Smith hit the post for Stirling as they were held to a goalless draw by Ross County. Scott Boyd should have opened the scoring for the home side as early as the eighth minute but he could not convert from close range while Smith almost broke the deadlock after 27 minutes but his 20-yard strike came back off the woodwork. After the interval, both sides tried to find that all-important goal with Michael Gardyne going close for County but his 20-yard strike was comfortably saved by Michael Gardyne. Steven Milne could have won it late on for County but his shot was parried around the post by Scott Christie while Smith had an effort blocked in the last minute as both sides had to settle for a point.
