Queens cruise past strugglers Two goals each from William McLaren and Colin McMenamin gave Queen of the South a comfortable 4-1 win over bottom-club Stirling. McLaren's first came from the spot in the 23rd minute after Stephen Stirling fouled him in the box. The second restored the home side's lead 10 minutes before half-time when he slotted in from 12 yards after good work from David Weatherston. Between this Stirling had equalised thanks to a penalty of their own just after with Scott Buist having been fouled by David Lilley. Gordon Smith scored to notch his 10th goal this season. Queen of the South extended their lead early in the second half with McMenamin netting from 12 yards after another assist from Weatherston. McMenamin completed the rout 15 minutes from time after heading into the top corner from McLaren`s delivery. Stirling, without a win since October, rarely threatened and are cut adrift at the foot of the table.
