O'Neill leaves Stirling post

Stirling have announced the departure of manager John O'Neill and his assistant Roddy Grant with immediate effect.

The duo leave an Albion side who have won just three times in the league this season and are ninth in the Irn-Bru First Division, four points above Dundee, who last week were docked 25 points for going into administration.

The search for a new manager has already begun.

Stirling spokesman Paul Goodwin said: "Everyone at Stirling Albion would like to pass their thanks on to John and Roddy for all of their hard work and support for our club.

"We appreciate this was a difficult decision for all concerned but we need to now concentrate on surviving in the First Division."
