Magpies snap up McMahon

Notts County boss Steve Thompson has landed Leyton Orient midfielder Daryl McMahon on a month's loan as he aims to maintain the Magpies' promotion charge.
County are currently sixth in League Two, but have crashed out of both the Carling and FA Cups in the last week.
McMahon will remain at Meadow Lane until 16 December 2006, but Thompson has not ruled out a permanent deal for the 23-year-old if he impresses in the next month.
The midfielder came through the youth team ranks at West Ham United and, after a brief spell at Port Vale, moved to the O's on a free transfer two years ago.
He has scored five goals in 65 league appearances for Martin Ling's side, but has failed to start a game for the League One strugglers since September.
