Westley recognises FA Cup factor
Stevenage boss Graham Westley admitted he spent a large part of the week trying to ensure his FA Cup giantkillers kept their feet on the ground after a 1-0 defeat at leaders Chesterfield.Boro were brought back down to earth after seeing off Newcastle 3-1 last weekend as Drew Talbot's 20-yard effort just before half-time proved the difference between the two sidesWestley said: "I think there was always going to be a factor (from the Newcastle win) that the adulation the lads have had during the course of the week and making sure they were grounded was a big part of what we did this week."It was getting the balance right by taking the confidence from an excellent performance and keeping their feet on the ground which was something we focused on."He added: "We performed creditably over the 90 minutes if a little hesitantly in the first half but once we did take the game to them I thought we created long periods of pressure and could very easily have snatched an equaliser."But we didn't do enough to win the game. If you get edged out 1-0 as a team we haven't quite done enough and I think the team will take responsibility for the result as we always do."
