Westley waits on Laird

Stevenage boss Graham Westley will wait on the fitness of defender Scott Laird before naming his squad for the trip to Macclesfield. The 22-year-old left-back suffered an Achilles injury 20 minutes into the second half of Tuesday night's 2-0 win at Burton and had to be replaced by midfielder Robert Sinclair. However, the Boro boss is hopeful Laird will be fit enough to retain his place in the starting line-up. Westley has no other injury or suspension problems and is unlikely to make too many changes to his line-up following a run of four consecutive league wins - the first time the club has ever achieved such a feat. Midfielder Darren Murphy is pushing for his second start since returning from a broken leg after stepping off the bench in midweek to win the penalty for John Mousinho's second goal.
