Westley sees happy times ahead

Stevenage manager Graham Westley feels his side can be a force in npower League Two this season despite seeing them edged out 1-0 at Bradford. Bradford striker Gareth Evans' first-half penalty was enough to secure the home side a narrow win against Football League newcomers Stevenage after Lee Bullock had been brought down by Joel Byrom. Westley said: "We dominated the game and we got into their final third more than I can remember us getting into anyone's final third, but we weren't clinical or ruthless enough and we even managed to miss an open goal. "We need a bit more cutting edge in the final third of the pitch. I think we can be a force in League football. We had two new midfield players (including John Mousinho making his league debut). "We are an emerging team and this was a solid performance. We want to be a team that works hard, is well organised and is prepared to be courageous with the ball. "This was an undeserved defeat at a difficult place, but these are early days and we expect to evolve, develop and become a better side in the coming weeks."
