Westley hails all-round display

Stevenage boss Graham Westley was delighted with his side's all-round performance after their 4-0 win at Macclesfield. Braces from Mark Roberts and Robert Sinclair gave Boro a convincing victory as Macclesfield barely had an attack of any note all game. Westley said: "We worked very hard defensively and we were good going forward. I was pleased that we worked very hard to keep a clean sheet, we care a lot about keeping clean sheets and the boys maintained their discipline. If you do the basics right in football, just as you do the basics right in life, you'll go a long way. "Mark Roberts and Rob Sinclair both got two goals but it's an 11 or 14-man effort and we talk about the team performance here. "Macclesfield showed us a lot of respect by changing round their team from what they've been doing in recent weeks and though you didn't see much of them in this game, they`ve got some real attacking talents. "For the first 15 or 20 minutes it was a bit cat and mouse, but after that we got ahead and if anything I was a bit disappointed after the fourth goal that we didn't go on and score more because goal difference is going to be so important in this league."
