Westley disappointed to miss out on victory

Graham Westley felt his Stevenage side should have taken all the points following the 1-1 draw with high-flying Shrewsbury Stevenage got themselves off to a dream start with a goal in the eighth minute. Lawrie Wilson found Chris Holroyd in the Shrews' penalty area and he pounced clinically from close range. But Shrewsbury emerged with renewed impetus after the interval and Benjamin Van den Broek crossed for fellow substitute Matt Harrold to apply the finish from 10 yards. Westley said: "I think we've been a little unfortunate in the end not to have secured the three points. We played some cracking stuff once again and the lads do feel a bit deflated back there. "We've spoken about one or two things, where we maybe have gone wrong here or there, but I certainly can't be too critical of the players after that effort. "We got forward a lot and created some really decent chances. I can't fault the effort or the endeavour."
