Westley forced to tinker

Stevenage boss Graham Westley will be forced into more changes for the visit of Sheffield United.

Midfielder Simon Heslop and winger Filipe Morais return after missing last weekend's 2-2 draw against Port Vale through suspension.

But Michael Doughty was sent off in that match and serves a one-match ban along with Roarie Deacon, who collected his fifth booking, while skipper Jon Ashton suffered an ankle injury and could be out until the new year.

Full-back Peter Hartley and striker Lucas Akins are hoping to shake off the knocks which kept them out against Vale.

Sheffield United midfielder Stephen McGinn is hoping to return to contention.

McGinn missed last week's home win against Swindon due to a knee injury and Jamie Murphy returned to the side as one of several changes made by boss Nigel Clough from the FA Cup victory over Cambridge.

Clough has no new injury or suspension problems and is likely to stick with the same line-up that beat Mark Cooper's Robins 1-0 as his side bid to extend their unbeaten run to six games in all competitions.

On-loan Leeds defender Aidy White and full-back Tony McMahon were also back to face Swindon and are expected to resume, while striker Shaun Miller and winger Febian Brandy are pushing for recalls.
