Steven Schumacher out for Stevenage but Callum McFadzean and Michael Crowe in

Stevenage will be without influential midfielder Steven Schumacher for Saturday's Sky Bet League Two clash against Morecambe but new arrivals Callum McFadzean and Michael Crowe should be involved.

Former Everton youngster Schumacher, now 31, tore his anterior cruciate ligament in Boro's first away win of the season at Bristol Rovers on Tuesday night and faces up to nine months on the sidelines.

Midfielder McFadzean arrived at the club from Sheffield United on Thursday and will stay until January, while goalkeeper Crowe joined from Ipswich on a similar loan deal.

Manager Teddy Sheringham will have to decide whether to keep Jamille Matt in his team after he made his first start at the Memorial Stadium or recall Armand Gnanduillet.

Morecambe's new loan signing Anton Forrester will be looking for a call up in the squad.

The 21-year-old striker has signed from Blackburn for the Shrimps until the beginning of January.

Captain Peter Murphy will be hoping for a start after playing the second half in their 4-2 loss to Cambridge in midweek.

Murphy had been out for three months with a knee injury but recently returned to training while Aaron McGowan (hamstring) and Adam Dugdale (foot) are still sidelined.
