Double doubt for Boro

Stevenage have doubts over John Mousinho and Darius Charles ahead of the crucial clash with Colchester.

Midfielder Mousinho missed last weekend's 1-0 basement defeat by Shrewsbury with a leg injury while utility man Charles limped off at the break and did not emerge for the second half.

Simon Heslop had already gone off in the first half with fatigue so he may be rested, but fellow midfielders Dean Parrett (cruciate) and Roarie Deacon (ankle) are out along with back-up goalkeeper Steven Arnold (knee).

Rock-bottom Boro are without a win in seven matches but victory on Saturday will leave them just a point behind Colchester, who will kick-off in 18th.

Colchester will be without Craig Eastmond when they travel to their relegation rivals but welcome back Brian Wilson.

Eastmond's absence as he completes his two-match suspension for picking up a 10th yellow card of the season has been offset by the return of Wilson from an identical ban.

On-loan Crystal Palace defender Alex Wynter made his Football League debut off the bench last week and could be handed his first start, while Sanchez Watt is also in contention after returning from his quad injury.

The defeat at home to fellow strugglers Tranmere was Colchester's fourth in a row and left them out of the drop zone only on goal difference.
