Stevenage looking to bounce back against Carlisle

Stevenage will hope to give supporters a reason to cheer when Carlisle visit in League Two on Saturday.

After Tuesday's loss to Mansfield - a third successive defeat - Boro were booed and boss Teddy Sheringham sympathised with disgruntled fans.

His one positive was Ben Kennedy's return, as a substitute, following hip surgery and the striker could be in contention to start.

It remains to be seen whether defender Dale Gorman, recently troubled by a back problem, is able to feature, while midfielder David McAllister and striker Adam Marriott (both knee) are definitely out.

Carlisle boss Keith Curle has hinted that he may make several changes to his side despite their midweek win over Leyton Orient.

However top-scorer Jabo Ibehre is likely to miss out once again despite undergoing intensive treatment on his hamstring problem.

Charlie Wyke (foot) will also be missing for Curle, while transfer-listed midfielder Antony Sweeney is expected to be retained in the line-up after his winner on Tuesday.

Curle has also refused to rule out signing a striker on loan, after the injuries to Wyke and Ibehre, but claims he already has a strong squad.
