Bradley Pritchard and Chris Whelpdale doubtful for Stevenage

Bradley Pritchard and Chris Whelpdale are doubts when Stevenage play Bristol Rovers in Sky Bet League Two on Tuesday.

Pritchard is rated 50-50 to feature after a blow to the face against Notts County saw him miss the win over Newport, when Whelpdale was again absent, having only recently returned to the squad from a groin injury.

Michael Tonge is expected to be fit despite a knock against Newport, while Charlie Lee could be a substitute once again after making a surprise return from a groin injury.

Steven Schumacher and Dave McAllister (both knee) are long-term absentees.

Rovers have no new injury problems as they seek to bolster their promotion ambitions.

Stuart Sinclair is nearing full fitness after groin surgery, but Pirates boss Darrell Clarke has had a settled squad during a wonderful run which has brought nine wins from 12 games.

Lee Mansell, an unused substitute in Saturday's 2-1 victory over Yeovil after a month out with a groin problem, or Liam Lawrence could return if Clarke chooses to play an extra midfielder.

Top scorer Matty Taylor has scored in eight consecutive games and he is set to continue his productive partnership with Rory Gaffney after their goals against Yeovil took Rovers back into the automatic promotion places.
