Stevenage forward Armand Gnanduillet pressing to start against Accrington

Ivory Coast frontman Armand Gnanduillet could come into contention to lead the Stevenage attack against Accrington following an impressive display from the bench in last week's 2-1 win at AFC Wimbledon.

Teddy Sheringham's side have now put together a five-game unbeaten run in the league to pull clear of the relegation zone and start looking up the table.

Jamille Matt, on loan from Fleetwood, scored his first goal for Boro and is expected to remain at the heart of the midfield.

Defender Fraser Franks has been recovering from a knee injury, while midfielder Dean Parrett is another who could be back in contention following a hamstring problem.

Accrington boss John Coleman is just desperate to see his side return to action after last weekend's clash with Wycombe was postponed because of a waterlogged pitch.

Coleman told the club website: "I think we're like a gang of school kids who've been on three days' wet playtime. We're climbing the walls to be honest.

"It's been three weeks without a league game, which is too long for me, and when you're doing so well like we have been doing in the league it's really frustrating that you can't build on that."

Defender Dean Winnard (ankle) and midfielder Seamus Conneely (groin) have both been sidelined since last month.
