Wilson sees off Imps A clinical double from Lawrie Wilson gave Stevenage a 2-1 win over Lincoln. The first half was entertaining at Broadhall Way as two goals in the space of five minutes lit up the game just past the half-hour mark. After Mustapha Carayol had gone close for Lincoln early on, it was they who went in front in the 33rd minute courtesy of a penalty kick given after Scott Laird had handled in the box. Ashley Grimes profited as he stroked home from the spot. Carayol again went close as Lincoln came close to bagging a second in as many minutes, but four minutes after the opener, the scores were levelled when Wilson found space in the box and buried a shot from close range. Just before half-time Chris Day made a smart save to keep out Grimes' long-range effort. The match was won in the 60th minute when Wilson took a touch after receiving a pass from John Mousinho before crashing a super shot into the top corner from 20 yards.
