Stevenage 0-0 Milton Keynes Dons: Report

06 November 2010 23:43
Bore draw at Broadhall Stevenage and the MK Dons must try again after a disappointing goalless draw at Broadhall Way. Chances were at a premium as both sides lacked a cutting edge in a tepid FA Cup tie. A disappointing first half presented few clear-cut chances. Early on Stevenage's Stacy Long tried a shot from just inside the box, but David Martin saved well at his near post. The Dons responded with Peter Leven striking a shot just over the crossbar, but that came just a minute after Long had again been denied by a smart Martin save. Shortly before the interval Stevenage almost went in front when Ben May rose well, but planted a powerful header narrowly wide. The Dons opened the second half brightly and Angelo Balanta went close with a low drive. At the other end Yemi Odubade brought a decent save out of Martin. Late on Jemal Johnson fired inches wide for the Dons, but goalless it remained.
