Laird missing for Borough
Stevenage boss Graham Westley will be without defender Scott Laird for the trip to Oxford.
The 22-year-old will complete a one-match ban after being sent off during the second half of Saturday's 1-0 win over promotion-hopefuls Wycombe.
Centre-back Jon Ashton is doubtful with the leg injury that forced him to sit out the win over the Chairboys.
Midfielder Darren Murphy got through 45 minutes unscathed on his first appearance since August and could retain his place in the starting line-up.
Murphy could start alongside John Mousinho, who will keep his place in the team following his match-winning strike at the weekend.
Meanwhile, midfielder Joel Byrom and striker Taiwo Atieno are expected to return to training this week but the game will come too soon for the pair.
