Mark Jones has been appointed as the manager of Stevenage Borough's centre of excellence as eight more youngsters are added to the set-up. The club have established the centre over the summer since being promoted to the football league and Jones has joined youth team manager Jimmy Gilligan. He told the club's website: "I will be looking after the lads aged nine to 16, but will be working with Jimmy on a day-to-day basis. "I have my own ideas, but am here to assist Jimmy in making a programme that we can get good young players through."
