Borough waiting on Holroyd

15 November 2010 16:30
Stevenage manager Graham Westley is hoping Chris Holroyd will be available for the FA Cup replay at MK Dons. Holroyd missed the first meeting between the sides after parent club Brighton refused him permission to play but Westley is trying to come to an arrangement with the Seagulls that allows the striker to continue up front. If Holroyd is blocked from playing, Stacy Long could be recalled. Joel Byrom returned to the bench following an eye injury on Saturday and could be given a starting role while Luke Foster will also be looking for a promotion from the bench. Westley is without long-term absentees Lee Boylan (calf) and Darren Murphy (ankle) while Chris Beardsley is close to a return to full training after a shoulder problem but the FA Cup replay is likely to come too soon for the striker.
