Jason Scotland links up with Stenhousemuir

Stenhousemuir include new signing Jason Scotland at home to Ayr after the Trinidad and Tobago veteran agreed a short-term deal.

The 36-year-old former Ipswich and Swansea striker was last with Hamilton and joins up with The Warriors missing Ciaran Summers (knee) and Allan Smith (hip), while on-loan Hearts defender Liam Henderson is a doubt.

"Jason will prove to be an excellent addition to our squad and I am looking forward to him being involved against Ayr," manager Brown Ferguson said.

"The last time we played them they beat us quite comprehensively, so we know that we need to up our game to take anything from it."

Ayr include former Warrior Nicky Devlin after making a successful appeal against his red card against Forfar last weekend.

But Peter Murphy (hamstring) and Craig Moore (groin) are out of the Ochilview Park clash.

Ayr boss Ian McCall said: "Our second half performance at Forfar when we came back from two goals down to draw with 10 men was the best I have seen from this side.

"We will need another strong performance to win this game as Stenhousemuir will be on a high after scoring twice late on to draw at Cowdenbeath."
