Malcolm ban blow for Ferguson
Stenhousemuir will be without the suspended Stuart Malcolm and injured Kieran Millar against Airdrie.
Millar has a nose injury and Carlos Mazana Martinez is a doubt, but Mark Gilhaney is available as the Warriors look to bounce back from blowing a two-goal lead at Peterhead last weekend.
Manager Brown Ferguson said: "Coming home from Balmoor with a 2-2 score is not the worst result, but Stuart's sending off at 2-0 changed the game. It gave them the opportunity to put us under pressure, but we have moved on.
"We are ready for the visit of an Airdrie side who ended their game against Forfar last week very strongly."
Ayr are without Marc Fitzpatrick again due to a knee injury and Jim Lister, who has a groin complaint.
Manager Gary Bollan is looking for his men to put in a 90-minute performance against the Warriors.
Bollan said: "Last Saturday against Forfar we never got going in the first half and found ourselves a goal down.
"We were much better in the second and were unlucky not to get a draw, however we have to ensure that we play for the full game to avoid being disappointed again.
"Stenhousemuir secured a draw at Peterhead last weekend, which is not the worst result so it will be tough."
