Stenny continue Brechin run

Stenhousemuir heaped the misery on Brechin as they inflicted their fourth loss in five games in a 4-2 win at home.

Stenny began on the front foot and goals from Darren Smith and Sean Dickson inside the first 10 minutes gave the home side a firm advantage.

Smith headed home a Josh Watt cross after two minutes before Dickson slotted home into the bottom corner just five minutes later.

Alan Trouten hit back for the visitors before half-time with an excellent finish into the roof of the net from the right side of the area.

Despite Brechin controlling possession, the home side went further ahead when Josh Watt found space inside the area to finish into the corner of the goal.

Trouten got his 12th of the season from the penalty spot, but substitute John Gemmell headed home his 14th goal from a Kristopher Faulds cross to restore the two-goal advantage.
