Wyness focused on Saints

St Mirren striker Dennis Wyness insists he will have no split loyalties when he faces his former team-mates for the first time.

The 31-year-old will make his first return to Inverness Caledonian Thistle as a Saints player when the sides meet in the SPL on Saturday.

Wyness made more than 150 appearances for the Highland club before moving to Love Street during the summer.

"I've got some great memories of Inverness because I was there for nearly seven years," he told the Paisley Daily Express.

"I especially liked my first spell there, when we had some great times and the fans were always great to me, but I don't know how they'll react when I go back there on Saturday.

"The most important thing from my point of view is that I'll be going up there as a St Mirren player and trying to get a win for the team.

"We've been playing well but it's all about getting victories now and, hopefully, we can get all three points up in Inverness."
