Sutton plays waiting game

St Mirren striker John Sutton has still to decide whether to stay with the Buddies or make a move away from Love Street this summer.

The 23-year-old has been offered a new 12-month deal by the Saints, but believes he may get a two-year offer before the summer is out.

He told the Daily Record: "I really do not know what is happening with regards to my future. We will need to wait and see.

"I have had two good years here and I don't see any reason why there cannot be more.

"To some extent it is my choice and in another way it is out of my hands, but the decision will be made for football reasons alone.

"I would have liked to have got things sorted by the end of the season, but sometimes it just does not work out like that."
