Sutton backing Saints

St Mirren striker John Sutton is confident that his side can bounce back after suffering three defeats in a row.

The Buddies went down 2-1 at Dunfermline at the weekend, but Sutton still believes his team will avoid an immediate return to the first division.

He told the Paisley Daily Express: "We knew it was going to be tough coming up a league and this is now a test of our team spirit and how we can pull together.

"Team spirit is always good when you're winning, but now it's important we stick together, work hard for each other and hopefully we can turn it around."

Sutton has scored four times already this season, getting his side's only goal in the reverse at East End Park.
