Saints move for Robertson

Published: 02 Feb 2012 - 09:24:44

The transfer window may have closed a couple of days ago but that isn't stopping Saints strengthening their squad with Cowdenbeath midfielder Jon Robertson set to join the club for next season.

The 22-year-old worked with current Saints boss Danny Lennon when he was manager at Central park and is highly rated by fans of the Blue Brazil, who believe he's ready for the step up to a higher levvel. Robertson, who started his career at Hearts, has scored six goals this season including a terrific effort against Hibs in the Scottish Cup. He is expected to sign a two year deal with the Buddies.

Lennon has already brought four of his former players to the club with varying results. Darren McGregor was excellent, Gareth Wardlaw was average while Paul McQuade and Peter Bradley barely registered. Which category will Robertson fall into?
