Saints boosted by new Howard deal

St Mirren goalkeeper Mark Howard has agreed a new two-year deal with the Scottish Premier League club. The deal will keep the 22-year-old at the Paisley outfit until 2011. Howard's commitment to St Mirren is a huge boost after their other first-team keeper, Chris Smith, underwent surgery on cruciate ligament damage last week.
