Mac silent on Hibs referee

St Mirren boss Gus MacPherson refused to make any comments about the performance of the match referee in his side's 2-1 defeat at Hibernian.

Mr Muir sent off Steve Thomson just 17 minutes into the Easter Road clash, with the Buddies eventually being beaten by a winning goal from the home side nine minutes from time.

MacPherson said afterwards: "I'm not going to talk about the sending-off.

"It's so hard to do it but I wouldn't give the referee the satisfaction of talking about him.

"He wanted to see me after the game to talk about it, but I'm not interested in listening to him.

"There were worse challenges in the game that could have led to serious injuries."
