St Mirren boss Gus MacPherson refused to get too carried away after seeing his side thrash Celtic 4-0 at St Mirren Park.

Two goals apiece from Andy Dorman and Steven Thomson completed a famous win for the Buddies, with MacPherson pleased but not too ecstatic.

He said: "It's just one game, that's really all it is - three points.

"The frustration has been that we have drawn far too many games at home, but we took our chances and the goalkeeper makes crucial saves at crucial times and we get the three points.

"It's just three points, that's all it is. It makes a difference to the goal difference, because we've had criticism in that department - but it's just three points.

"It's just shown us what the players are capable of doing."
