Imrie checks in
Published: 20 Jan 2012 - 12:56:50
Dougie Imrie signed a two and a half year deal at Greenhill Road this morning after completing his £35,000 transfer from Hamilton Accies to Paisley.
The 28-year-old forward, who has been handed the number 27, was wanted by both Dundee United and MK Dons but neither were able to meet Hamilton's transfer demands - so the fact we were is something of a surprise!
Imrie started his career with Lanark United before joining Clyde in January 2006. Two years later he joined Inverness Caley Thistle and in 2010 he moved to Hamilton. Worrying,y he joined all three clubs in January and all three were relegated 18 months later!
The new signing can play up front, in behind or on the wing. He is a high energy player who seems to wind up opposition fans a lot (including our own during games against us) and is expected to be involved against Celtic tomorrow.
