    Haining blow for Buddies

    13 Dec 2007 - 11:47:21

St Mirren boss Gus MacPherson has confirmed that central defender Will Haining faces another fortnight on the sidelines due to a hamstring injury.

The 25-year-old former Oldham Athletic stopper missed last weekend's 1-1 draw at Celtic and is unlikely to return in the next couple of weeks.

MacPherson told the Paisley Express: "Will had a scan on his hamstring and it's revealed a small tear, so he's going to be out for two to three weeks.

"As he picked up his injury last week, he's already seven days into his recovery so, hopefully, he'll be back in a fortnight from now.

"It's a blow to have any player out injured because they all want to play and be involved in the team."
