Dargo eyes starting spot

St Mirren striker Craig Dargo is hoping to make his first start in more than a month against Celtic this weekend.

The 31-year-old frontman featured as a substitute in the 1-1 home draw with Hibernian, having been sidelined for several weeks by a shoulder problem.

Dargo told the Paisley Daily Express: "It's good to be back because it gives the manager different options. I'm definitely ready to go if called upon for the match at Parkhead this weekend.

I was out of action for a couple of weeks, but when the international break came along, I was able to train again.

"And, if the manager needs me this Saturday, I'd be delighted to be involved."
