Dargo extends Paisley stay

Striker Craig Dargo has signed a new two-year contract to keep him at St Mirren until the summer of 2011.

The 31-year-old has scored four goals in 51 appearances in two injury-hit seasons with the Saints.

Boss Gus MacPherson told the club's official website: "We're delighted that we've got Craig to re-sign.

"A fit Craig Dargo is a major asset to our team, there's absolutely no doubt about that. I think we've all seen that from the performances we got.

"Craig's been frustrated at the amount of goals he's scored, but we've got to look at the amount he's helped to set up.

"When you do, you can see that he's contributed greatly to the side when he's fit and getting a run in the team."
