St Mirren boss Gus MacPherson picked out Craig Dargo for special praise after his side drew 1-1 with in-form Hearts at Love Street.
The 30-year-old striker moved to the Buddies last summer from Inverness Caledonian Thistle but has failed to find the net so far this season, although he did create Jim Hamilton's goal on Saturday.
MacPherson said after the draw: "Dargo played well again. He was very creative. I can't tell you a better playmaker right now. He's created the last three goals we've scored.
"We're very disappointed to lose the goal. I didn't see it coming and I felt the boys were in control, but there was always a danger when you play Hearts with their physical element."
