Buddies wait on injured trio

St Mirren boss Gus MacPherson could be without three key players for Saturday's game against Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

Will Haining, Stephen McGinn and Jim Hamilton are all struggling with injuries and face a race against time to face Craig Brewster's side.

MacPherson told the Paisley Daily Express: "Will Haining has a problem with his foot and went to see a specialist on Friday. We should know more in the next day or so.

"Stephen McGinn and Jim Hamilton have missed training too. Stephen informed us of a problem in one of his toes and Jim picked up a calf injury in training.

"We'll just need to wait to see how they are but we're hopeful that Stephen and Jim will be able to rejoin us in training this week and we'll monitor Will to see how he's doing."
