    Buddies suffer Dorman blow

    02 Dec 2009 - 07:37:39

St Mirren midfielder Andy Dorman is set to be out of action for at least a month due to a torn hamstring sustained in the 3-1 weekend loss at Celtic.

The 27-year-old lasted just 19 minutes of the game at Parkhead and now faces a frustrating spell on the sidelines.

Boss Gus MacPherson told the Paisley Daily Express: "Andy will be disappointed that he has torn his hamstring. It's always the player who suffers most when something like this happens.

"However, it will be an opportunity for someone else to come in and play in that area of the park."

Meanwhile, Buddies goalkeeper Graeme Smith has joined Dunfermline Athletic on a six-week loan, having found opportunities limited since his recovery from a long-term knee injury.
