Buddies impress MacPherson

St Mirren boss Gus MacPherson was full of praise for his players after they fought back to secure a 1-1 draw at Dundee United.

Andy Dorman struck late on at Tannadice to secure a point for the Buddies, who had come under heavy pressure for much of the game.

MacPherson said afterwards: "The first half was even, but the second half we were right under the cosh.

"It was matter of time, we felt, but it was a poor goal from our point of view.

"But credit to them, they reacted in the manner which they did, still moving forward trying to get that goal.

"A couple of months ago that wouldn't have been the case. They have a different attitude because of the recent performances and confidence, they don't want to be beaten."
