Buddies deal for McGinn

St Mirren midfielder Stephen McGinn has penned a two-year contract extension at Love Street.

The 19-year-old broke into the Buddies first team towards the end of last season and has scored twice in 15 appearances during the current campaign.

McGinn was on the mark in a 1-1 draw against Celtic at Parkhead in December.

"The main thing for Stephen is that he continues his development as a player," manager Gus MacPherson told the club's official website.

"If he develops as we believe he can, both the player and the club will benefit from that."
