Relentless Saints delight McInnes

St Johnstone boss Derek McInnes thought his side thoroughly deserved their eye-catching 5-1 victory against third-placed Hibernian on Wednesday.
The rout improved Saints' chances of finishing in the top half of the table and put a serious dent in Hibs' hopes of overtaking Celtic and finishing second this term.
A delighted McInnes said after the game: "I thought we got the goals to back up the outfield play we produced and that hasn't always happened this season.
"Hibs are a top side but we never let up against them and we had to be relentless or they'd have punished us.
"For the first time in a long time I felt that once we got in front we never looked vulnerable.
"I'm a wee bit disappointed that we didn't have more cover at their goal but the quality of it showed just what a good side they are - one quality 70-yard pass and they were in behind us."
