McInnes believes in Adams

St Johnstone new boy Jamie Adams has been loaned out to Dundee until the turn of the year, evenly though he is highly-rated by Saints boss Derek McInnes.

The 22-year-old joined the Saints this summer from Queen of the South, but heads to Dens Park to gain regular first-team action.

McInnes told the Press & Journal: "We feel Jamie is still a bit behind the rest and will benefit from playing regularly.

"We brought Jamie here on a two-year deal and he is still our player. We have options in central midfield and as we don't have a reserve team, he might not get as much football as we, or Jamie, would like.

"Going to Dundee, he will be playing week in, week out and that might not be the case here.

"Jamie will come back to us in January to play a role in the second half of the SPL season."
