McLean bill of health for Kenny

Kenny McLean joins St Mirren`s Hampden heroes in the squad for the Clydesdale Bank Premier League clash against Inverness.

The midfielder has fully recovered from minor knee surgery and is added to the squad that beat Celtic in the Scottish Communities League Cup semi-final.

Long-term absentees Darren McGregor (knee) and Thomas Reilly (ankle) miss out.

Manager Danny Lennon has warned his players to forget the Cup final and focus on pushing for a top-six place.

He said: "The boys are in preparing for an equally important game on Wednesday.

"It is fantastic to be in the final but we have to focus on the immediate future.

"All that happened was that the boys came in with a bigger smile on their face and a bigger bounce in their step.

"It`s a normal working week, the boys who played did their recovery and the boys who didn`t trained.

"We`re looking forward to welcoming Inverness, who for many people at this minute in time are the team of the season.

"They have upset the odds and are sitting pretty in the SPL, playing entertaining football and scoring a lot of goals.

"However, the league is very tight from top to bottom, we are 12 points off second place. A victory can certainly close the gap and pull us a bit closer."

Inverness have signed QPR midfielder Jordan Gibbons on loan until the end of the season.

Caley Thistle say the 19 year-old wide midfielder is expected to feature in the squad at Paisley.

The club have signed defenders Danny Devine from Fleetwood and Charlie Taylor, on loan from Leeds, already this month.
