Samson's national service

Craig Samson has been handed a late call up to the Scotland squad for Wednesday's friendly against Luxembourg following a spate of withdrawls.

This is the third squad the Saints keeper has been a part of although he has still to make his international debut. With Craig Levein gone and Billy Stark in temporary charge of the national side it isn't a huge surprise that several players have pulled out, the withdrawl of Cardiff's David Marshall handing Samson his chance.

Meanwhile, Saints youngster Mark Williams has been named in the Scotland under-18 squad for a training camp later this month.
