Saints go pub-lic

28 November 2012 21:00
Fans heading to Saturday's Scottish Cup game against Brechin City will be able to enjoy a pre-match pint after plans were announced for a supporters' bar.

It's something fans have been wanting for some time and the 10000Hours takeover bid had planned to fit out part of the main stand with a bar so there is definitely demand for a bar. It seems there is very little (perhaps none at all) hospitality for Saturday's game so the suite will be used for this instead.

The big downside is that entry costs a fiver a pop, although this does include your first drink free. The bar will be open between 12noon and 2.45pm and again after the match, with players popping in from time to time.

Seems like a good idea and hopefully it is the first step towards a permanent bar at the ground.
