Portuguese forward arrives

Saints have bolstered their frontline for the rest of the season by bringing Portuguese forward Esmael Goncalves in on loan from Rio Ave.

The 21-year-old can play up front or on the wing and joined his current club in the summer, having spent the last few years with Nice in France. After Rio Ave signed Bebe on loan from Manchester United until the summer the player was up for grabs and Danny Lennon has moved quickly to bring the player to Paisley.

Will he good or will he be a flop? Who knows, but hopefully he'll offer us something different up front. It is hoped he'll be available to feature against Celtic on Sunday but one player who won't be involved is Polish forward Patryk Mikita, who has returned to Legia Warsaw after a trial spell in Paisley.
