Mikita on trial

14 January 2013 06:24
Teenage Polish striker Patryk Mikita has arrived in Paisley for a week long trial as Saints boss Danny Lennon looks to boost his striking options for the rest of the season.

The 19-year-old is currently contracted to Legia Warsaw and it seems they are willing to let him go on loan in a bid to get some first team experience. After failing in bids for Dom Dwyer and Kenny Miller Lennon obviously feels his strikeforce could do with a boost and believes the youngster is good enough to cut it in the SPL, which has resulted in him being invited to train with the Saints squad for the rest of the week.

If he's good enough you'd have to think he'd be getting a regular game for his club - but on the flip side if we signed a young striker from a Premiership club we knew little about there would be few complaints!
